Simon Gresswell

MCSP SRP

Simon graduated in 1998 from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia and obtained a BSc Physiotherapy. Since then he has worked in a variety of positions in hospitals, both for the military and in private practice.

He has a broad base of experience in musculoskeletal and sporting injuries and has worked with several elite athletes, including some at Olympic Level. He has also worked extensively with work-related injuries and was part of a pilot program and new initiative in Australia to help employees return to work after injury.

Simon also has a special interest in multi-trauma (including road accidents) and chronic pain rehabilitation. He uses a variety of manual techniques and has a strong focus on exercise rehabilitation. His aim is to provide treatment that will rehabilitate patients and help prevent recurrences and further injury.

Simon is a keen sportsman and particularly enjoys running.

Samuel Young

MCSP SRP

Samuel graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2002.  He worked for two years in Western Australia, working in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and private practice. He then spent a year working with a number of different aboriginal communities throughout the red centre and Arnhem land, in the Northern Territory.

 

Before leaving Australia he returned to his home state and worked in a private hospital ward specialising in the treatment of orthopaedic operations (shoulder and knee arthroscopic repairs, anterior and posterior ligament knee reconstructions, hip and knee replacements).  He also worked in a complex orthopaedic team aimed at rehabilitation.  Both these jobs involved large amounts of hydrotherapy.

 

Samuel spent a year in Ireland, working in private practices in both Cork and Dublin, treating a number of different sporting and work-related injuries before joining Physio in the City at the Reebok Club Canary Wharf. 

 

He has a musculoskeletal background, specialising in sporting injuries, trigger point therapy, rehabilitation following orthopaedic surgery and hydrotherapy.

 

Samuel is an avid sportsmen, playing Australian and Gaelic football, cricket, tennis, basketball, water and snow skiing.

JillHendry

Jill Hendry

MCSP SRP  Grad.Dip.Phys.

Jill qualified from Kings College Hospital London in 1982 and worked in the NHS for 7 years at Barts, Kings and Middlesex Hospitals. Since 1990 Jill has worked in private practice inside health clubs and has established her own company opening several clinics throughout the Greater London area. Jill has vast experience in musculo-skeletal physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and a special interest in pregnancy related aches and pains. Jill was a member of the British Women's Gymnastics Squad , is a qualified aerobics instructor and still keeps fit using the gym, swimming and running.

Physio on the wharf is run by Jill Hendry. Jill established her first private physiotherapy clinic in a City of London health club in 1990. Over the past 16 years she has opened seven more clinics inside health clubs in London and the South East. Her company physio in the city has gained a reputation as a high quality, professional and caring provider of physiotherapy services and is registered with all major health insurance providers.
