Gemma Leeuwenburg

MCSP SRP

Gemma graduated from Auckland Universiry of Technology in New Zealand with a BHSc in Physiotherapy.  In 2007 she then worked for a busy private practice in her home town for 2 years before moving to London. Since Living in the UK she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including NHS, private hospitals and private practices. 


Gemma came to work for Physio in the City as private practice is where her passion lies and she has extensive experience treating back, neck, joint, nerve and muscle disorders.


Gemma has treated many professional athletes and has provided physiotherapy for New Zealand hockey teams at a national level.  She is a keen hockey player herself, having played in teams at a national level for most of her life.


Gemma likes to keep fit through playing hockey, going to the gym and running.

Andrew Lee

BSc(Hons) M.C.S.P. S.R.P.

Andrew graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of Melbourne in 2006 after first completing a biomedical science degree at Monash University In 2003.  

 

Since that time, he has worked in a large private practice on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne. Where as well as spinal and orthopaedic conditions he treated numerous golfing, surfing and cycling injuries. In that time, he also held information evenings at cycling clubs regarding injury prevention and bike setup.  

 

Andy has completed further education in Clinical Pilates and Western Acupuncture. Whilst studying, Andrew gained experience with an elite level Under 18 Australian Rules Football club, and assisted in the strength and conditioning training of Australian paralympic skiers.

 

He has a keen interest in golf, leaving Melbourne with a golf playing handicap of 10. He also enjoys surfing and cycling, having completed the Great Victorian Bike Ride, and the Around The Bay In a Day Bike Ride and he provides our cyclist screenings and bike assesments.  

 

With a love for all sport however he looks forward to immersing himself into the football culture whilst in the UK

James Lundberg

MCSP SRP.

James graduated from The University of Melbourne with a BPty (Hons) in 2006.


Since then he has spent time working in a large sports and spinal physiotherapy clinic in Melbourne, which as well as providing general muscloskeletal physiotherapy and
rehabilitation, included treating elite athletes ranging from Olympic swimmers to professional triathletes.


James has provided physiotherapy to Australian national level swimming and football teams. He also worked with elite junior athletes at Victoria’s first sports specialist school.

James’ variety of post graduate training and keen interest in exercise prescription gives him a holistic approach to treating everyone from office workers postural problems to professional sports injuries.


James played representative football and competed in athletics at a state level. He now enjoys running
and swimming to keep fit

JillHendry

Jill Hendry

MCSP SRP  Grad.Dip.Phys.

Jill qualified from Kings College Hospital London in 1982 and worked in the NHS for 7 years at Barts, Kings and Middlesex Hospitals.

Since 1990 Jill has worked in private practice inside health clubs and has established her own company opening several clinics throughout the Greater London area.

Jill has vast experience in musculo-skeletal physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and a special interest in pregnancy related aches and pains.

Jill was a member of the British Women's Gymnastics Squad , is a qualified aerobics instructor and still keeps fit using the gym, swimming and running.

Physio on the wharf is run by Jill Hendry. Jill established her first private physiotherapy clinic in a City of London health club in 1990. Over the past 16 years she has opened seven more clinics inside health clubs in London and the South East.

Her company physio in the city has gained a reputation as a high quality, professional and caring provider of physiotherapy services and is registered with all major health insurance providers.
