Eve

 

Eve Emaru

Senior Physiotherapist

Eve graduated with a BSc. Physiotherapy from University of East London in 2007 having previously completed a degree in Sports Science at the University of Greenwich.

She started her career as a Physiotherapist working in the NHS for 3 years where she specialised in treating musculo-skeletal and Orthopaedic conditions. She moved to the private sector in 2010 working at the Cromwell Hospital and joined our team at the Reebok Sports Club in 2012.

Eve is a qualified Pilates Instructor as well as a member of the Acupuncture Society of Chartered Physiotherapist and she likes to combine the use of acupuncture into her physiotherapy treatments where appropriate.

Eve has worked with many sports teams including, rugby, American football and basketball.

Since 2009 she has been a team physiotherapist with England basketball attending training sessions as well as travelling with the team to games and tournaments including European championships.

She is currently the England U18 men's physiotherapist.

Eve has an extensive knowledge of basketball having played basketball herself for England at cadets level and national league in England and France. Her passion lies in managing sports injuries from all sports and getting participants back into play as quickly as possible. She enjoys combining concepts from her sports science background with her physiotherapy and medical knowledge in order to get the best out of people.

Eve likes to keep fit and her ambition is to swim the English Chanel. Eve speaks fluent English, French and Ateso.

   
     
     
   
     
     
Ceri  

Ceri Pritchard

Senior Physiotherapist

Ceri graduated from Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia with a bachelor of science, Physiotherapy. Ceri then relocated to Melbourne working at a leading physiotherapy practice developing her skills in sports injuries, chronic injury rehabilitation, Pilates and woman’s health. 

Ceri has a strong interest in sporting injuries and pre/post natal related management and rehabilitation. Treating these conditions using a mixture of manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation and Pilates when necessary. Ceri believes it is extremely important for clients to be involved in their own recovery and therefore places high importance on client education.

Ceri used to be involved in gymnastics and spring board diving and now keeps fit by running and going to the gym on a regular basis. Ceri moved to London in February of 2012 to follow her passion for travel.

Leighton Wills

Senior Physiotherapist

Leighton completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in New Zealand at Auckland University of Technology in 2008 and gained his postgraduate diploma in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 2011.

Since 2008 Leighton worked in private practice in New Zealand with an emphasis on treatment, management and rehabilitation for both professional and novice athletes.

He has worked with numerous sports teams in New Zealand, including New Zealand Football representative teams, New Zealand and Oceania Football champions Auckland City Football Club and has performed a player/physio role with premier football champions Bay Olympic. He also has attended the FIFA World Club Championship as part of the medical team with Auckland City Football Club.

Leighton combines his manual therapy skills with exercise prescription, education and muscle balance assessment for effective treatment and injury prevention strategies. 

Personally he has played football at a national age group representative level and is a keen golfer and surfer. With his involvement and personal interest in sport and exercise he understands the requirements to return to sport as soon as possible.

Jill Hendry

Jill qualified from Kings College Hospital London in 1982 and worked in the NHS for 7 years at Barts, Kings and Middlesex Hospitals.   

Since 1990 Jill has worked in private practice inside health clubs and has established her own company opening several clinics throughout the Greater London area.  

Jill has vast experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and a special interest in pregnancy related aches and pains.   

Jill was a member of the British Women's Gymnastics Squad and is a qualified aerobics instructor. She still keeps fit using the gym, swimming and running.

  

Physio on the wharf is run by Jill Hendry. Jill established her first private physiotherapy clinic in a City of London health club in 1990. Over the past 16 years she has opened seven more clinics inside health clubs in London and the South East.

Her company physio in the city has gained a reputation as a high quality, professional and caring provider of physiotherapy services and is registered with all major health insurance providers.
